An independent network for Jewish law students, alumni and attorneys. Rooted in the Chabad tradition of hospitality, and welcoming at every level of observance.

What we are

The long table that runs across New York’s law schools and into the profession.

We partner with the Jewish organizations already on each campus, then add what one campus can’t manage alone: attorneys in the room, a citywide Shabbat table, a job board with honest notes, and a mentor for every student who wants one.

What we aren’t

We aren’t a bar association with dues, an advocacy group, or a campus chapter competing with yours.

Chabad JD is an independent professional network. It is not affiliated with, sponsored by or endorsed by Chabad-Lubavitch, Merkos L'Inyonei Chinuch, Chabad on Campus International or any law school.

The lamplighter goes from lamp to lamp. He doesn’t ask whether the street deserves the light. He lights it, and moves on to the next.

Our retelling of a Chabad parable, and the reason for our name.
